Our focus is on working line dogs with longer coats and a red and black or tan and black colouring. We choose only those dogs with a solid healthy conformation and the loyal and willing temperament of a true herding breed. All our dogs have their hips and elbows OFA certified before breeding and we select lines clear of hip dysplasia.
The 2016 litter was born on the 23rd of August, from a mating between Merewyn and Zane. All of the puppies have been happily settled in their new homes but we welcome inquires for future puppies. Contact us for details or to arrange a visit.
Our puppies are home-reared with lots of love and make good family pets, service animals and working dogs. They are well socialised with humans, cats, other dogs and the whole gamut of our barnyard. Each comes with microchipping, initial shots and CKC registration. We have one litter per year; see our breeding stock and more puppy pictures below, or find us on Facebook.
Our next litter will be born around November 10th, from our girl Mystique and Basco of Pfalzerheide Kennels
Merewyn (Lionheart Lady) RETIRED
Our oldest dog is affectionately known as "Merry", has had two happy, healthy litters and now gets to retire and enjoy her old age. Merry is of European working stock, with a thicker build and less sloped back than the show line. Her rough coat is a lot softer, more resilient and frankly more fluffy than the traditional short hair. As testament to her temperament, she is a registered service dog.
Mystique (Loewenherz Mystique)
Mystique is from Merry's second litter in August 2015, sired by Zane (below). She has a long coat like her father's, and her mother's aptitude for obedience work. Curious and full of puppy energy, she also demonstrates the friendly and devoted attitude towards people that we always look for in our dogs. In the spring of 2017 we have started Misty on herding work.
Through her parents Mystique's lineage includes Ursus von Batu and Vegas du Haut Mansard.
